About this tour
A trip designed for two adults who want to combine gentle adventure, nature and archeology in one of the most impressive sites in the Mayan world. After arriving at the Mundo Maya International airport, you will head towards Tikal, where the Jaguar Inn Hotel becomes your base to explore ancient temples, ceremonial plazas and jungle trails. With the rental car you will have complete freedom to organize your days: from walks at dawn to contemplate the fog rising over the temples, to trips to small nearby towns to try the local cuisine. Intermac Assistance insurance provides additional peace of mind, allowing the focus of the trip to be on enjoying the environment, history and shared experience.
Tikal is a large archaeological site in the Guatemalan department of Petén. In the heart of the jungle, surrounded by lush vegetation, is one of the most important sites of the Mayan civilization, inhabited from the 6th century BC to the 10th century AD. The ceremonial center contains magnificent temples and palaces, and public plazas accessed by ramps. Interesting remains of houses are scattered in the surrounding countryside.
