Tour Highlights
Panoramic Navigation (Stage I): Tour bordering the island to see Playa Tumba Botes, Isla Pájaros (bird sanctuary) and the coasts of Hacienda Vieja and Limonal.
Guided Historical Tour (Stage II): Entrance to the National Park to tour the Calle de la Amargura, the Dispensary, the Church, the ruins of the main building, the iconic cells with their engravings, the Colony and the Bullring.
Beach Time (Stage III): Free time to enjoy the sea and swim in front of Playa Tumba Botes (use of life jacket included and mandatory).
Gastronomy On Board: Enjoy fresh welcome fruit, a typical lunch served on board and a delicious coffee with banana cake during the return sailing to Puntarenas.

Discover a destination where history and nature intertwine on Isla San Lucas, known as the «Alcatraz of Central America» ​​and declared the thirtieth National Park of Costa Rica. Located in the Gulf of Nicoya, just 45 minutes by boat from Puntarenas or Los Sueños, this island housed for more than a century (1873–1991) one of the most feared prisons in the country, whose memory inspired the famous Costa Rican novel «The Island of Lonely Men.» During the guided tour, visitors will be able to explore the old cells, headquarters, infirmary and original murals painted by prisoners, as well as walk along the historic pier and stone causeway built in the late 19th century.
